General Information/Accessibility

Is Camperdown open 24/7?
Yes, the Plaza is open to the public at all times unless there is a private event on a portion of the Plaza. While this is rare, check our socials to get the most up to date information.
Where can I park, and is there a cost?

Camperdown Plaza has two parking garage options for visitors. Located on Falls Street, you’ll find the garages labeled “P2” and “River” Feel free to utilize either of these when you visit the Plaza. Please note that there is a fee for parking in these garages. The City of Greenville also offers parking at Broad Street Garage.

Is Camperdown pet-friendly?

Yes! Bring your pups as you explore all that the Plaza has to offer. While you are here, snap a picture of your furry friend in front of the mural and tag us @CamperdownGVL on Instagram! Please remember to respect the City of Greenville’s leash laws, and bring waste bags to clean up after your pets. 

Are there any outdoor seating areas at the Plaza?
Yes, there are both high-top and low-top tables on the Plaza to make your visit comfortable. They are first come, first serve.
Are there any public restrooms at the Plaza?

Public restrooms are coming soon!

Is the Plaza wheelchair accessible?

Yes! You can find the accessibility ramp at the Broad Street entrance to the Plaza, in front of Starbucks. Wheelchair accessibility is also possible from Falls Street going through the P1 garage to the Plaza elevator.

Can I skateboard on the Plaza?
No, Camperdown Plaza is a non-skate campus. Violators will be asked to leave to leave the premises.

Are the events free and open to the public?
Yes, most Camperdown hosted events are free and open to the public unless otherwise stated.
Do I need to register or RSVP to attend an event?
No, registration or RSVPs are not required unless otherwise stated.

Professional Photography

What is the photography permit policy? Is there a fee?

Capturing personal photos with your mobile phone or for personal use is permitted without the need for a permit.

However, professional photographers—defined as those who exchange funds or goods for their services—are required to obtain a permit and pay a fee for utilizing the Plaza as a photoshoot location. Individuals found on-site without prior approval will be kindly requested to leave.

Fees for weekday reservations (Monday to Thursday) are $25/hour, while weekend reservations (Friday to Sunday) are $50/hour.

All requests for professional photography must be submitted to CamperdownPlaza@gmail.com.

Once the request is approved and payment is received, a digital permit with instructions will be issued and emailed.

Art and Culture

How often does the mural change?
The mural changes seasonally, but sometimes changes more often depending on events happening on the Plaza or coming to Greenville. We always post the newest mural on our socials so be sure to follow to see the next art piece!
Who curates the art for the Camperdown artwalk?

Camperdown Plaza partners with Premier Arts Collective (an experiential non-profit organization that uses the arts as a vehicle of healing and hope) to curate the beautiful pieces on the Plaza. More information on PAC here.

Are the different murals painted onto the wall each time?
No, the murals are printed on large vinyl sheets by local vendor TPM, and then attached to the wall. The murals are a partnership between Camperdown, VGSC, and the City of Greenville.
