Welcome to Camperdown Plaza, a vibrant mixed-use development built in 2017 that blends modern design aesthetics with a reverence for the area’s rich history and heritage.
THE HEART OF DOWNTOWN
Spanning an entire city block, Camperdown Plaza is a bustling epicenter for culture, community engagement, dining and entertainment. Overlooking Greenville’s renowned Falls Park and adjacent to the Peace Center, Camperdown Plaza is a premier downtown destination.
SITE OF FORMER CAMPERDOWN MILL
Greenville was once hailed as the Textile Capital of the World. The iconic Camperdown Mill, which once stood precisely where the Plaza now stands, was the second-largest mill in South Carolina. This 260-employee cotton thread factory operated from 1876 to 1956 and was powered by the Reedy River.
AN ODE TO OUR HISTORY
Camperdown developers commissioned local artists to create sculptures titled, “Common Thread” that honor the enduring legacy of Greenville’s Textile industry.
ARTISTIC EXPRESSION
Acclaimed artists Yuri Tsuzuki and Deedee Morrison skillfully blend sound, light, and color to weave a dynamic and whimsical narrative throughout the Plaza.
